We are excited to announce the addition of Ryan Norman, PGA to our staff here at Fox Run. Norman will join our team as the PGA Director of Instruction for the Ryan Norman Golf Academy at Fox Run Golf Club. We are excited to partner with Ryan to help grow the game of golf in Southwest Iowa, and the Omaha metro area.
In March of 2017, Ryan was also named the Head Varsity Girls Golf Coach at Brownell – Talbot High School in Omaha.
Norman brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in coaching all levels of instruction from beginners to veterans. Throughout his impressive 7-year career at Golf-Tec Omaha, he has coached High School State Champions, High School State Runner Ups, placed several high school golfers into Division I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College programs. In addition to teaching over 10,000 lessons, Norman has won the outstanding achievement in coaching award, was nominated for Nebraska Section PGA Teacher of the Year, and the Nebraska PGA Section Youth Player Development Award.
Complementing Ryan’s coaching career, Norman is also an accomplished player. In 2015, he qualified for the PGA Professional National Championship, in Philadelphia, PA. He has qualified for 3 Nebraska PGA Cup Teams, which puts the Top 10 Nebraska PGA Professionals against the Top 10 Nebraska Golf Association Amateurs in a competitive Ryder Cup style format.
Ryan and his wife, Shannon, will be married 7 years this November. Shannon is the former Mrs. Nebraska America 2016, and is an independent insurance agent in the Nebraska and Iowa markets. Her practice is with First Priority Insurance in Omaha. The couple spend much of their free time working with the American Heart Association and spreading their mission to BEFEARLESS to educate and empower others to live a heart healthy life.
Ryan is a Council Bluffs native, and graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. He is looking forward to growing the game of golf in the community he learned the game.
